I was telling buddy Clyde Wilson over at Parking Network about my trip to the UK and he said that he was in the UK at the same time. Turns out while he was in London, I was in Scotland.
However that’s not the story. He went over on the Queen Mary II and when they docked in Southampton and were in the luggage hall, he saw someone he thought he recognized. Sure enough, it was Monroe Carell’s daughters. Clyde when over and ask after their father. They said "turn around." And there was Monroe. They were on the same ship crossing the Atlantic.
"We had a nice chat about old times at Central, said Clyde, who worked for Monroe and ran the Central operation in the Nashville area "back when."
Small world, isn’t it.
