They are being sued in Tennessee by a disabled person who can’t reach the automatic pay machines to pay her parking fees. Now, I am the first person in line to give handicapped persons access. And Central claims it tries to meet all ADA requirements. So this will probably be worked out amicably.
However, I don’t think that all exits or machines should be handicapped accessible. What that means is that non-handicapped persons have to get down on their hands and knees to operate the machines, or open their car doors to reach the gizmo’s at the exit. ADA style machines should be available and clearly marked. They should also be convenient. But the ADA needn’t take over the entire facility.
